Services

Lucas Maia Interpreting Services provides Portuguese–English interpretation services for immigration interviews and related appointments. The interpreter’s role is to accurately interpret communication between parties during the interview while maintaining professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality.

Interpretation services are provided solely for language communication between individuals who do not share the same language.

 

Reservation and Payment

A 50% deposit is required to reserve interpretation services. The remaining balance must be paid on the day of the interview.

Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit has been received. Once the deposit is received, the appointment time will be reserved for the client.

Payments may be processed through approved payment platforms such as Stripe.

 

Interview Duration and Additional Time

Standard and complex interpretation services include up to three hours of interpretation.

If the interview exceeds the initial three-hour period, additional time may be billed at $50 per hour.

 

Cancellation Policy

If a client cancels the appointment after making the deposit, the deposit will be retained as a reservation fee. This compensates for the time reserved and scheduling commitments.

Clients are encouraged to notify the interpreter as soon as possible if the interview date changes or if the appointment is cancelled.

 

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding:

• Interview date and time
• Interview location
• Type of immigration interview
• Required documentation such as the interview notice

Clients must provide the official USCIS interview notice prior to the appointment.

 

Interpreter Role and Disclaimer

The interpreter’s role is limited to providing accurate language interpretation between parties during the interview.

Privacy Policy

Personal information submitted through the website, request forms, or communication channels will be used solely for the purpose of scheduling interpretation services and communicating with clients.

Client information will be kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties except when required by law or necessary to provide services requested by the client.
